Our team

Judy brings a strong business background to Red Kite, overseeing the Centre’s administration. With a degree in History and Political Science, she’s worked internationally in sales, marketing, and regional management roles across tech, property, and construction before returning to New Zealand in 2018.

Anita began her journey in early childhood education as a Playcentre mum with her three boys, later becoming a qualified teacher. She believes in the power of play and loves supporting children as they explore the world—whether through books, nature, or messy fun. For Anita, teaching young children is both a privilege and a joy.
Tiny Tuis Teachers

Originally from Myanmar, Esther has lived in New Zealand for a decade and transitioned from hospitality to early childhood education. She believes the early years are vital and grounds her teaching in research, theory, and insights from children, colleagues, and the community.

Born in Gujarat, India, Jagruti is a joyful and nurturing teacher who brings her love for life and culture into her work with children. A former kindergarten teacher in India, she now plans to pursue a Graduate Diploma in ECE and enjoys sharing her passion for dance and celebration with the Red Kite whānau.

Originally from Malaysia and a proud mum of two, Vani is passionate about nurturing young children and supporting their early development through play and exploration. She values the importance of love, support, and cultural diversity in building confident learners and has recently completed her Level 5 Diploma in ECE.
Busy Bees Teachers

A long-time Mount Albert local, Louise is a dedicated mum to a teenager with severe food allergies, giving her a deep understanding of health and safety in childcare. She values time with friends and whānau and has a love for musicals—WICKED is her all-time favourite!

Born and raised in New Zealand with proud Samoan roots, Lina is a devoted mum of four whose passion for early childhood education began through supporting her nephew with autism. Her journey led her to work with the Crippled Children Society, and she now loves creating playful, curiosity-driven environments that inspire tamariki to explore and learn.

Originally from China, Tim is fluent in Mandarin and English and became a registered ECE teacher in New Zealand in 2023. He’s proud to be part of the Red Kite team and is passionate about the power of play-based learning to support children’s growth and development.
Curious Kiwis Teachers

Originally from Vadodara, India, Jyotika moved to New Zealand in 2005 and has worked in early childhood education for over 15 years. She brings a wealth of experience and a deep appreciation for New Zealand’s natural beauty and people to her role as a passionate preschool educator.

Originally from Bangladesh, Sampa is a proud mum of two with a background in primary teaching and a Master’s in Bangla Literature. Since moving to New Zealand in 2017, she has gained a Level 4 ECE qualification and loves nurturing children’s creativity through art, music, and play. In her spare time, she enjoys singing, dancing, and playing the harmonium.

With a Graduate Diploma in Early Childhood Education, Jane is passionate about nurturing children’s curiosity through a play-based, nature-connected approach. She values each child as a capable learner and is dedicated to creating an inclusive, respectful environment where tamariki can thrive.

Born and raised in India, Kirti holds a Bachelor of Education and a Diploma in Primary Teaching, with experience in the primary sector. A keen athlete and explorer, she brings energy and curiosity to her teaching. Her goal is to create a nurturing, engaging environment that supports the growth and problem-solving skills of mokopuna.

Originally from Haryana, India, Sheetal began her career as a secondary maths teacher before discovering her passion for early childhood education. She moved to New Zealand in 2022 to pursue a Graduate Diploma in Teaching (ECE). Sheetal values strong communication, cultural respect, and building trusting relationships with children, whānau, and colleagues. In her free time, she enjoys cooking and listening to Indian music.
